Images of the Celebrations of Hamish's life

Hamish's funeral service was the most peaceful and joyous service one could imagine. In a little chapel that radiated with beautiful simplicity, the service was led by a dear old friend of Hamish who wove the celebration's readings and remembrances into a tapestry of love and light. And although we leaked tears every now and then, one still felt carried by the joy of celebrating Hamish's life rather than feeling overwhelmed by sadness because of his parting this life. In moments of reflection the inner salutes to Hamish were being imbued with the intense tones of songs being sung straight from the honest heart. We - and Hamish - were given the chance to say goodbye to the body that served him so well. Everytime the emotions tended to explode, we simply needed to tune into the present moment to find there the strength and peace that radiated from Hamish's presence and also from the loving presence of people all around the world who visited the celebration in Spirit. At a beloved spot in Treviscoe's garden the ground was being prepared for Hamish's ashes to be spread at May 8th. The famously impronouncable Scottish friendship cup filled with his favourite whiskey was passed down the circle, and we all said a blessing and a farewell to Hamish before pouring the rest of the whisky onto the land. The land sang through the Earth Singer' s voice - giving a beautiful voice to the love and blessings that had accumulated in this place's energy. And now- to speak with the final words of a funny anecdote that was being shared by Hamish' son - it is time to 'move yourself, Miller!'
Thank you and Godspeed, Hamish.
