The Parallel CommunityParallel Community - bringing together people and groups worldwide. The Parallel Community is a linking network and a platform where people can express and develop their positive contribution for change - human, social, ecological and spiritual. It's a mutual support network for people who organise and support groups and networks seeking to build a new and better world. It is our collective responsibility to care for and have compassion for all life and the earth we live on - this is our starting point.
Millions of people across the world feel exactly as we do and we need to mutually support and connect with each other. This helps all of us get on with our work, create genuine results and make our voices heard. The Parallel Community started in Cornwall in the southwest of Britain, and the network is spreading everywhere, across borders both national and of the mind and heart. We link up people and groups who otherwise often work in relative isolation in their own areas and social-cultural circles. Doing nothing is not really an option any more - John Watts (treasurer to Parallel Community).

Hamish Miller has moved on![]() The founder of the Parallel Community, Hamish Miller, passed away on 25th January 2010 - quite happily, though unexpectedly, after Burns Night (he was a Scotsman!) and his and his wife Ba's wedding anniversary. The celebration of his passing was on 9th February in Cornwall - see pictures and obituary here. We wish him well on his journey, and we know he'll still be around. One thing he said not long before his transition was, "Well, I hope that, when people think of me, they'll talk back when I say something!" | |||
Please bear with us regarding any e-mails awaiting a reply or book orders and so forth. We're busy both ruminating the future of Parallel Community and reorganising systems to deal withg our new situation. Parallel Community, PO Box 11, Hayle, Cornwall TR27 6YF, UK. E-mail: |
