St Michael's Mount
You are warmly invited to join us for a silent walk
from Treviscoe, Trencrom
to St Michaels Mount in Marazion
on Saturday 22nd October 2016

There is always a time in life when we are ready to make a pilgrimage hoping to get a glimpse of what the journey of life is and to connect our steps to our heart awareness.

Pilgrimage calls us to leave modern life, get out of our busy world and minds, get away from the noise of daily life and journey into the wilderness of a remote countryside. As a pilgrim, one quickly realises that in making a pilgrimage, it is also an inner pilgrimage, an inner journey which can be equally transforming.

Let’s take a journey at our doorstep into the Michael’s Way from Trencrom to St Michael’s Mount. Following in the footsteps of many pilgrims over recent centuries, we shall walk those few miles in silence with the common intention of carrying the peace of our steps into the heart of humanity alongside our own personal intention for inner transformation and heart resolution.

Walking as a group will reinforce the intent and intention of our hearts for our common as well as our individual purpose. Walking in silence and heart awareness will align our footsteps and our soul intention to the heartbeat of the earth and the surrounding nature and elements.

During the walk there will be stop-off points for shared reflection and lunch.

Time : Saturday 22nd October, 10am-4pm, meet at 9.30am at Treviscoe, Lelant Downs, Hayle TR27 6NP
Length of walk : 7 miles, mostly even
Bring : Your own snacks, drinks and picnic lunch to carry with you.
Costs : Suggested donation of £5. Proceedings will go to Médecins Sans Frontières
Dogs : We may be walking through fields with livestock, therefor please no dogs on this walk.
Parking : Park or get dropped off at Trencrom car park and arrange your own return transport from Marazion.

September 1st, 2016 at 7.30pm in St. Uny Church, Lelant, Cornwall

There will be a lovely opportunity for those who want to come on the pilgrimage with Parallel Community to listen to some background information - an illustrated talk about the history and mystery of the St. Michaels Way by Prof. Michelle Brown.

Matthew Manning Healing Circle

Matthew Manning came to Cornwall again to hold a healing circle that is often a powerful life-changing experience. Matthew feels that the benefits of his healing circles are as effective as working on a one-to-one basis, since the healing energy can be strongly amplified. They have also been found to be very effective for those wishing to attend on behalf of someone in need of distant healing.

"Just wanted to say thank you for organising the Matthew Manning healing circle. It was a truly extraordinary and uplifting experience. Apart from being a great opportunity to meet friends old and new, I have personally found the healing beneficial as have those to whom I send healing energy - wonderful!  Love and blessings, Vivienne."

Journey Into Eldership
An evening talk with George Hardwick exploring the core elements of mentorship
and how serving as a mentor can improve longevity, health and happiness.

Following on from the successful Creative Uprising day George gave for the Parallel Community, we were excited to welcome George back for an evening talk entitled Journey Into Eldership. The evening was a fusion of spoken word, storytelling and cutting edge insight – beginning with an exploration of the profound changes occurring throughout the fields of education, business, science and human consciousness. From this starting point, we uncovered the little appreciated, but utterly vital role that must be played by the elder members of our communities in the coming decades. The evening closed with celebration and honouring – as we realise that by nurturing our individual and collective joy, the kind of legacy we wish to leave for our children and grandchildren will be assured.

Permaculture around the world
– an inspiring evening with Warren Brush

“Permaculture is a holistic design science that is reflective of natural patterns and promotes mutually beneficial relationships rooted in ethics and principles that guide us to live in a sustainable and equitable manner. The concepts and themes in Permaculture help us rediscover how to be a positive contributor to the earth, ourselves and humanity.”

Warren shared a hopeful vision for our future that derives from his experiences and understandings gained from his lifelong work in sustainable settlement design, the mentoring of youth and adults, the learning from indigenous elders and cultures, working with child soldiers and distressed communities around Africa, and educating people around the world in how to live in a sustainable manner in a way that is both equitable, resilient and beautiful.

The Healing Intent
Matthew Manning Workshop
April 6th 2014 - Marazion Community Centre

Impressions of a one day workshop with the world's most scientifically tested healer. The workshop offered a good mix of insights, inspiration and solid information to improve our health and quality of life. Matthew led us through various meditative and other exercises which allowed us to experience both internal and external energies and how they dramatically changed with our healing intent.
